Well, it was only changed very recently-so I'm glad that everyone noticed that people want it back and put it up for a vote instead of ignoring everyone. I voted to have it reinstated .

I never vote on anything. Plus, with this like feature, in the scheme of life it means nothing. There are so many more important things to concern ourselves with. I won’t go into that, that for each person to decide on their own what is truly important.

Spot on, homie. ? Its only important and problematic to the degree you attach importance to it. And its amazing to see people attach importance to things like, like features or polls. I think the absence of a like feature was a good way to shake things up a bit. The reaction was quite revealing to say the least.

I think it came in handy in certain threads... like photos... seems it upset people in the pit and the political... where tension can happen. But on the flip side it saves people from having to respond at times when someone else says what you wanted to say.

I hit like for a number of reasons... acknowledging, liking photos, thanking for sharing... agreeing, disagreeing (but understanding their perspective) because it made me laugh... etc..

It is great for photos and what not. But they can’t exclude it from certain areas I image. Doesn’t matter that it is gone really, when you consider the shit in the real world but it did allow for a quick response with a simple like.

it's not a secret, i'm pretty sure it's been said who did it a few times. pete brought up the idea in one of the treefort zoom calls, jessica passed the idea along to the entire admin team, i figured out the css to hide the like button, then we slept on it for a few days and after no staff member gave any reason they thought it shouldn't happen, audiogen went ahead and made the change.

and nowhere in the process did anyone steeple their fingers like a movie villain and say "you know how we can really hurt rolling... muah hahahahaha!"
