    Set as an answer

Just noticed this at the bottom of a post - near quote, comment, etc. What does this mean? Ya'll are getting too fancy. ?

You only get it on threads you start, and it just pins that post to the top. Like they brought in on insta, YouTube, etc.. comments.

I admire everyone so far, for the lack of use of it ;-)

I just used it to test it. lol

Okay, I get it, I want to say I've seen it on Reddit a few times, but they call it something else.

It was a part of the recent software update. I think it has the potential for legitimate use, it's essentially not all that different than sticky threads. You can use a 2.0 theme if you do not want to see the feature.

I wasn't criticising you, AG. I read the post where you explained where and why it came from.

I'd rather have it and see it than have the forum even more divided into different experiences. From what I pick up, no one wants that. Let both styles have it, please?

                :-)

Seriously, you add more things to V2 and now if someone wants one thing they have to have the other etc. Please can we leave that just the likes?

I don't know what else I'm supposed to infer from you denying something you said you weren't doing other than you thought I thought you were doing it.

Just seems tiring to not be able to lightly tease about a function without an admin jumping to make that function unavailable without asking if it were wanted.

Other people than me choose to not have likes but they may want the pinned answer feature. It just seemed you took offence by reacting so strongly. I was mistaken, or offence was the wrong word. Please don't fixate on that :-)

I think it's better that way anyways, the 2 extra clicks to change themes will make sure someone really wants to set the answer.

You don't seem to realise that half the time people don't realise what is going on or what options exist?

                          Dumb move, but whatever :-)

Lol, I just realised it won't even "help" much for making people "be sure they want to set answer" .. because I assume most people use V1 anyway ..sooo..? hahaha
and my admiration will still stand or fall because it's not like I can't see when people use it. not everything requires a reaction :-) this reeeally did not.

I should have waited because that ^ would’ve been a better “set” answer. Lol

Idk, I kinda like it. ?
