What does it mean when you receive a - 1 on one of your notifications?

Last night I received a nice comment from PacificDude on one of my posts but then a -1 from others:


I was thinking perhaps it could mean someone made a comment & then deleted it?

That's never happened to me before? I usually get niftypebble21 and 2 others, etc. However, I did leave you a comment about that astrology question on Mel's Political Compass thread - ages after you had left one. Is that the comment you were notified about? I think VG might be onto something about aliens and such... haha.

BTW, as long as I am here - I have a question of my own to ask? The only really odd thing that has happened to me since I signed up at TF is that I was astonished that I was promoted to Junior Member after I had only around 65 posts, then a few days later I was suddenly just a Member again?

I wondered if it was because of something I'd posted which was against the rules or something? It was no big deal or anything - I'm loving it here and intend to stay (unless I am told to leave....haha). It's the mystery of it all that grabbed my attention big time :-)

i think it's just that Member comes after Junior Member in that ranking system : )

you can change that title to say anything you like too though, if you prefer

PacificDude with regards to 'Junior member' & 'Member' I'm not sure what that means I've always had Junior member title since I joined which I think is cute sounding ♥ but that's a good question ~ perhaps it's some sort of ranking you start of when you join as 'Junior Member' then after a certain amount of posts you are just 'Member' & then after alot of posts you're promoted to 'Senior Member' or like Vanilla Gorilla has 'Gigantic Member' lol ??

Usually it just means until you reach a number of posts and or time length on the forums of a week, 2 months, 6 months or whatever it is, then you go from junior member to the next one.
