What do you guys do for a hobby IE model trains , Collecting Barbie dolls , Stamps. coins .Old bottles ETC ?

I collect WW1 medals and parafenalua of those times.. I collect postcards, old ones. I have a small collection of a tree with people driving through it, looks like 1920/30s.
I love my post cards... I have some sent during WW1 that are written in code.. some silks. They were expensive but beautifull.
started to get rid of some of my old collections, just dont have the room anymore.. -

Astronomy, which I need to get back into. I have a 10" Dobsonian Telescope but it is a bitch to move for one person. After retirement I hope to buy some far out equipment that will allow me to do some astrophotography. I've posted this on HF before and I'll post it again here:
Another hobby I've tried is beekeeping but I've had no luck. It should be easy, but with the pesticides and parasites they have to deal with it's becoming more difficult.

Nah, it's not any good for photography. You need a mount that can stay aligned with the north celestial pole and can track the target image to compensate for Earth's rotation. Those, however, are currently out of my price range. One can spend thousands of dollars on equipment. And I've heard that once you get serious about the hobby that no amount of equipment seems enough...you get "aperture fever".

My whole life is a hobby!
I build, work with wood, grow things, paint, sculpt, climb trees, read books (more like listen to books these days), make kumihimo braids.. Just all sorts of interesting stuff. Stuff peaks my interest and then I am hooked. Does anyone else get that?Comment

mallyboppa i was having the issue with very short posts, but then it went away... which makes me suspect it is something to do with your post count. when you reach a certain number, it lets you type short posts.Comment
