Would you rather lose all of your money and valuables or all of your photos?

Material possessions don't really matter that much to me.

Photos. I never think to take pictures anyway, so there's just not that many of them to lose.

Losing my material stuff which I use would be more of a hassle. But in essence I am ok with losing both

Photos are a material possession? But yes, I'd choose photos too. My valuables are all sentimental ones. And I like having money.

After watching over the past two weeks, the horrific condo collapse in Miami, I don’t think possessions, valuables, money in that type of situation, matters much when you have seconds to run for your life. (if you were even that fortunate)

But, if I were on a boat, and someone was about to throw photos or my possessions and money over board - giving me the choice - I’d want keepsakes.

on the other hand, if you had the money you could probably afford to live in a more structurally sound building.

of course there's always some sort of disaster than can get anyone, no matter what kind of money they have. but it definitely gives you a greater opportunity for safety anyway.

True but strangely enough, their “sister” building, built by the same developer etc supposedly back 40 years ago as well, is in really great condition. You’re right though - Covid got to everyone...worldwide, poor and rich alike.
