So, treatment has caused me to lose my job remodeling a while back, and I don't get food stamps or anything.

For the first time in my life I literally don't have food and am starving and it's too freezing that I won't panhandle.

I don't want to ask members for money, but there are stores here in the Twin cities that only sell food, like "Aldis" or "cub foods".

I'm wondering if I can make a request for gift cards or literally if someone could mail me some canned soups or something.

I know it sounds ridiculous, and I don't like making a thread like this, but these are trying times.

There isn't a cub foods around here so I don't know if their online catalog is the same as in store. Based on the online catalog, it looks like Walmart or Target would be cheaper.

Do you have a paypal account? If not, I can send you a referral code, a little bit of money and then you have to make 1 purchase minimum of $5 through the site (I saw a Target gift card available), then we both get $10 and I can send you that.

There is also a site called slicethepie which requires a paypal account. You basically review music and images and get paid a few cents per review. It's a minimum $10 to cashout. There is a referral code there as well where I get 20% of your payouts for the first couple months. I can send you that too.

Food shelves are a challenge hauling boxes of food long distances without car because I have two torn meniscuses and a fractured knee cap from a fall off a building, but I do sometimes make use of them, it's just very impractical.

I actually went to the food shelf Friday when they always give away stuff, and it was closed for holidays.
