Who Else Loves Ramen Noodles?

I'll eat the hell outta some of them noodles. Fake news says they're not good for you but a little research shows it provides iron, B vitamins and manganese...stuff that's YUGE when it comes to proper body function. (Note: not as good as lasagna though.)

They're ok I guess. When I lived in Hawaii they sold a soup called Saimin all over the place, even at McDonald's. It was quite good, especially after Pakalolo!

apparently everybody. walmart was 100% out of them today, and they have like half an aisle dedicated to just ramen. kind of makes me think there must be some new global catastrophe going on that i didn't hear about.

personally i haven't had ramen since college. which is stupid, i actually liked them a lot back then. i just never think to grab any when i'm at the store. i only even thought about them today because i noticed the empty half aisle.

Chashu ramen with a rich tonkotsu broth is fire, but I really took to the miso based version they do in Hokkaido with butter and corn.

Also down to my last thing of instant ramen. I need to get to the store soon

My fave is to cook up some Beef flavor Ramen, and melt a thick slice of Velveeta cheese, plus 2 good sprinkles of Cayenne after the noodles are soft.
Not so good w/ Chicken flavor Ramen though.

I thought it just came in a big block shape. I haven't bought any in a while though. My fave cheese is sharp cheddar.

Velveeta comes in little square slices wrapped in plastic. I've never seen a big block of velveeta, but that's a disgusting thought.

The Velveeta I'm familiar with comes in big-ass blocks wrapped in this foil stuff and comes in a box. But I think I've seen the sliced form also.

Yes, the box of necessity in my home. Mac and Cheese is a staple here. Ham n' cheese, etc. We go through a box a week easily...and best to have a second one available

To me, the sliced kind seems overpriced. They do have their place though. Small sandwiches, top on Triscuit snacks in the microwave,etc.
