Yakisoba with pork belly. But that was yesterday I haven't eaten anything yet today. I just woke up👍 2 -
Due to the price of ground beef I've been substituting ground turkey, and it's not all that bad. My main complaint is that it seems bland. I made kind of a stove top casserole the other day using ground turkey and added lots of ground pepper and just a little A-1 sauce and it helped out a lot. And Tabasco will fix anything.👍 2Comment

Daughter made spaghetti sauce with vegan ground beef . It didn't brown so well, but the taste was fine. It clearly wasn't ground beef. Kinda tasted a little like corned beef that had been extruded like ground beef. At one time this stuff was twice the price of ground beef. Now, it's half the price of beef. And its price didn't change at all!Comment

I've learned recently that I cannot eat granola. It was if my gastrointestinal tract converted the entire mass to methane. The farts were horrible.👍 2Comment

I had a Totino's Party Pizza last night. Of course they are now rectangles instead of circles, as pizza shape traditionally is. I got on the website again and they state that it has the same area, 47 in2. So I measured mine before putting it into the oven. Exactly 6.5"x7.5", and as your grandmother told you when you were just a babe, the area of a rectangle is A=wl, so it comes out to 48.75 in2 —slightly larger that the Totino's dudes claim.
The area of a circle is A=πr2, so for an equivalent pizza in circular form, 48.75 in2=(3.1415)r2, or r=3.93 in. I like diameters better, d=7⅞" for the old, circle pizzas. But I don't have an old one to measure, dammit.
This is what it is like to be an anal-retentive former math major.👍 1Comment

Jessica Word. At least the price didn't increase. I figured they'd try to convince us that a rectangle is more expensive to make than a circle.

Thai green curry chicken with saffron and lemongrass on top of brown rice. Not sure if serving it on top of rice is traditional (the hell i know about being Thai?) but it was good. Chicken fat and curry sauce got absorbed into the rice... it was fire ?👍 3Comment
