    Emotion measured in body weight

Whether it be through diet or exercise, losing bad weight (fat), or gaining good weight (muscle) can put a person in a great and long-lasting feeling of accomplishment and center.

Since my knee injury Nov 21' and knee repair Dec 21', through diet and low impact exercise I've been able to lose 12 lbs.

I'm energy is high, and my 2 months of laziness has disappeared.

Stepping on the scale every day and seeing weight come off in the ounces does wonders for creating a daily positive mood maker.

    I introduce myself more
    I say Hi more
    I socialize more
    I donate more
    I worry less

    I'm at my best

I can't even fool with the scale, I'm underweight according to modern standards and will never not be underweight. I drink these post work out shakes to gain weight and never gain a pound lol.

I just focus on feeling strong and building muscle tone. But same effect yeah, if I'm having a tough time with this thing called life, nothing improves my mood like going to the gym. Last night I felt sad and heavy and forced myself to go to the gym and my mood did a 180

Being around other people at the gym takes me out of my own head too. I dont ever really talk to anyone beyond brief pleasantries but i secretly hype everyone up, throw out some mental yassss queeeeens at the other ladies lol

And I love the feeling of muscle soreness the next day. Its like a physical reminder that you love yourself and take care of yourself ☺️

I'm not overweight but severely lack mood improvement through physical exercise (i do get satisfaction out of my work routine but hey that's more than 50% driving :P ). The idea of going to the gym repulses me.. But I guess I should try it. I definitely need to improve my stamina and general condition. Basically i am feeling unhappy more often these days... Don't like my life, which is primarily determined by my living situation but also can't deny it could only improve with more physical exercise

why does it repulse you haha

I wasn't keen on it before I joined really, didn't understand why people paid money when they could just work out at home or outside for free

but I enjoy weight lifting so much more than I thought I would, and I like using the machines. And those are things i can't do at home unless i'm willing to drop some money on it
and I also just like the aspect of being around other people who are there with the same intention as me
        and the classes are fun

What would your life look like if you were living the life you want for yourself?
you don't have to answer that lol. unless you want.

I'm probably imagining it as bad as I can. I don't know gym etiquette, most gyms here advertise with a do it yourself approach, which only suits me once i am into something. I probably should get a coach. What I would hate is waiting for other people to finish on a device, and not knowing what to do in an environment where everyone else does :P I am at first instance not attracted to the idea of working out in an indoors environment among a lot of other people in any way, but admit I could be placing imaginary obstacles in order to avoid that place..

Most important for me is a home where I can do what I want in regards to sound. I want to be able to have friends over and have music on. And most above all I don't wanna hear normal living sounds of my neighbours (only affirms for me that I am obstructed and can't make any noise, but it also drives me crazy on itself: waking up or having breakfast with the tic taccing of the walking of my above neighbours is simply making me depressive and frustrated every goddamn day. When I get home from work I often hear it as well, and I can even take it less when tired).
Other thing I crave is more real life interacting with likeminded friends, but I don't even invite them to my place now because we can't do here what we like (and are used to).
Third thing I am now accepting is that I need to improve my stamina/general condition. I should not be as tired as I am now every time after work, plus a better condition helps you deal with everything else. I should probably stop smoking weed daily. Which is hard when you are in a shitty situation where smoking a fat J is the quickest solution to really chill and feel good..

Yeah I had a personal trainer the first couple times I went to the gym, would have found it intimidating without him.
Hope you find a better living situation soon friend!

I also have no interest in losing weight, but I think the feeling when you can suddenly do two more reps with the same amount of weight is probably a similar high.
