So I was gardening today, mostly adding composted soil to the blueberry plants and whacking weeds with a hand sling, and I noticed this in the greenhouse:

The hornets must have completed it well ahead of the summer last year, we haven't used the greenhouse in 2 years. When summer hits, nothing survives the greenhouse. I knew it was some kind of paper wasp, but I learned the real horror going online. I found this:

This is the face of the Bald Faced Hornets.
But, doesn't the image seem more like a collaboration between Van Gogh and Salvador Dali?
