  • What did you do outside today?

I unpacked the back of my truck which was full of wood and then I put it into my wood box. ?

Put rubbish in bin and went and checked the mail box. In my neck of the woods it's winter.

Got the stuff away from the golf cart and sorted/put away. Charged up and ready to ride.

        I've never driven a gold cart. I have a 3 wood. That's the only artillery I need. ?

So, you ride the 3 wood, instead of a cart? ?‍♀️ ?

I got up early to start my weed trimmer. For my neighbors. Who were kind enough to party, shoot fireworks and raise hell until 2AM on a Sunday night. I only trimmed for 5 minutes. Then I went in the house and played some tunes on the outdoor speakers.

I really love the classics, so first I played 20 minutes of 2 male cats fighting and howling at each other. Then I played an hour of the fireworks from the 4th. I have a really great studio recorder and a pair of excellent mics.

          Last, a fire engine!

Shortly after that, the Monday morning garbage trucks (plural) started in and out of our dead end street. Nobody sleeps through a garbage truck backing all the way down the street.

I know this isn't (what I'm going to relate) probably or most surely isn't what this thread is really for...but I want to tell what my son and I did yesterday, Sunday. I had to have my beloved Boo Boo (cat) put to sleep. So, my son (and I a bit) dug a hole in the hardest, most "rooty" ground in the world. I'm old and have loved animals forever, so yes - I do have a pet cemetery.

My precious Boo Boo had a massive tumor pressing on his heart to the point he couldn't eat. (An x-ray and ultrasound revealed this) and it made his breathing difficult. I always thought his hard breathing was because he was so active and such a fun baby. When he slept, his breathing seemed normal. At any rate, when he couldn't eat but was obviously hungry, I knew he had to be seen and took him to the (very expensive :/ ) emergency vet in this area. I had no idea of any serious inner problem until I took him to the emergency vet for them to see what was wrong with his mouth or teeth or esophagus (y'all see where I'm going) since he couldn't eat ANYTHING since Friday night but could only lap salmon juice.

As I already stated, the diagnosis was awful, and I still can't get over it. He was just 1 1/2 yrs old...and full of love and personality

And I miss that bad kitty so much more than I thought possible. ?

aw so sorry Lynn. Hugs to you. Dice is right, it's the quality of life that matters.
i'm sure that having you as a friend made his cat life worthwhile and special.

My mom, my daughter, and I ate breakfast outside nude enjoying the morning sun. Later in the morning mom gave me a nice Swedish massage........now we are all indoors relaxing keeping cool.

not much. mostly just went back and forth between my truck and wherever i happened to be at the time. spent a few minutes setting up for an outside program at work.

i need to avoid the sun for a few days so my skin can recover from yesterday.

Plenty of running and walking as usual. Though i seem to be getting a low level type of attention. Just more than usual with people complimenting me. Judging by some of the comments it seems like i'm known as a runner around the neighborhood.

that's just when she's curling. golfing, it's the 3 wood.

the scariest is when she's hunting...

I cut down a forest for wood and planted magic seeds which grew into a new forest and a family of bears said I was a great man.
