Okay, even I thought the last thread was too gross.

I was simply making the point, that claiming God tortures people forever as some do, is making him look more disgusting than any person.

Preach a God less disgusting would be my recommendation to those who preach such a God.

You have a, um...strange way of putting it but I've had a similar thought. The way many Christian evangelicals describe God sounds an awful lot like Kim Jon-un of North Korea. Always needing praise, sensitive to criticism, lives like a king while everyone else starves, etc. It really makes me wonder about the state of the human mind. Do people secretly wish for a cruel dictator? Do they hate their enemies so deeply as to demand eternal torture for them even if they themselves risk the same fate? Why are they so eager to grovel of the feet of such an evil creature? It's sickening.

Yeah, it's a terrible thing. I'm amazed that for 2,000 years, billions of good, charitable, loving people, have preached God is love.

Could you explain why this thread title did it in regards to your conclusion?

Isn't striving for full free speech for everyone always going to offend or shock some others? And how does this shock you exactly? Do you even value Jesus as a spiritual symbol? Have you never enjoyed some Jesus, God or christian mockery yourself?
What's the difference with when another user makes offensive fun of Mohammed? Seems a bit arbitrary for a non religious person to only speak out when Jeebus gets used for shock value.

He has made these kind of thread titles since he was here from the beginning. So it has always been this low.

Other people ruin threads made by others with their chronic nasty posts. Seems at least as serious of a problem for the overall forum quality. At least Matt keeps it in his own threads.
