I think half of the human brain does create its own reality. Such that tiny effects can be seen, in particular when a wave seems to be a particle. Because at the Planck length...that really is just a wavelength. At that scale you're talking about a concept, really, not exactly "matter" in the common way we perceive it.
I think we live in a reality split by logic and reality, and that logic can somehow dictate reality. I think we cling to the idea that everything has form, because we can conceive of no way of bending it to our will if not with our senses.
What's important is that the brain can only interpret the wavelength as a particle, and therefore can't determine what the wavelength itself is. But all it is is pure energy. And all we will ever experience is pure energy. Seeing the wavelength turn into a particle is like holding some seafoam in your hand. It will return to the sea when it's no longer sensed.
I wonder if we all simply aren't at the surface of this great ocean, and the wave pattern is like seeing when the sunlight casts shadows of the rnipples.
