    Add to the story -game

Ok, I'm sure this is a relatively common game, but I'm making my own title since it was literally just called "Game" where I found it.

So the objective is to continue the story with a sentence or 2 for each post until we get to the end of our story (if that actually happens). So let's try it out! I'll start.

There once was a group of countryside travelers who decided to set out on a new adventure. However, this time it would be an adventure across the pond...

    the end.

ok, ignore that. my actual contribution starts here:

everything started out great, until bill went to apply for his passport and was turned away because he was a convicted felon.

ok, my contribution has ended, and i want to go off topic about how fucking creepy google is. i started to type out that reply, and i realized that i'm not actually sure whether a felony denies you a passport or not. so i had typed out "everything started out great, until bill went to" and then i opened a new tab to google my question. i got as far as "can a" and google finished for me "can a felon get a passport." nothing i had typed and nothing i had open indicated that i was interested in felons' rights or passports. and there's no possible way that this is the most popular question to be followed by "can a". i can think of no explanation other than google is reading our fucking minds.

Hahaha not just laughing at the fact that it probably isn't the most common search/creepy Google (because yeah, probably are watching), but also the fact that you actually bothered to look it up for accuracy sake.

haha yeah what struck me first is the level of research you were prepared to do for a story game, i'm impressed!
but secondly... that IS weird. i can think of other explanations than Google reading our minds though.
i think it's more likely that it's because this is all a simulation that has been run countless times and sometimes there's a glitch where it reacts to a completed cycle.
and here we have found the perfect use for comments because on Hip this conversation would totally screw with the flow of the game.

But Bill made a passionate speech about how he wanted a passport, and the Director of Passport Emergency Services granted his wish, on one condition...

The condition being they had to build their own vessel to cross the pond , built using only materials that they can find locally and at no cost

At first, this condition dismayed the travellers, as none of them had any building expertise. But then they remembered Yog, the near-silent member of their group, and all eyes went to him...

Yog guided them to a thicket, where there was an overgrowth of trees. He pulled back the branches to reveal what he had already crafted: a ship! But it was so enormous...

"that's very big. And did you build that with local materials, Yog?" asked Paul, doubtfully, "it won't count unless it is... and that looks..." he trailed off.
The rest of the group were looking on, anxiously.

"I cannot Honestly be bothered with you guys sometimes !" Said yog "I give you a perfect solution and still you moan " and he walked over to a newly cut tree stump and sat down

"This is getting us nowhere Sighed " Karl angrily walking over to where Yog was sitting "what the fuck were you thinking ? " The others looked at Karl, and Bill for the first time started to worry about this "gentle Giant" in their midst and wonder if he could be the one ultimately to wreck his plans to usurp Paul as the leader ,and most respected member of their growing band .

It turned out Johnny was a mediocre fiddle player. Satan won, but everyone argued that music was subjective and claimed they like Johnny's fiddle playing more.

Satan. a cad, said, "I get a bad rep. I'm really just a happy-go-lucky guy." The ship then began to lift up, and headed towards the sea. "You owe me nothing," Satan said, "Unlike a certain 'you know who.'"
