Do you think cutting meth with fentanyl is common?

When I had the injured arm, initially (before they gave Ketamine and Propa somethin) they gave fentanyl. It's only the second time I've ever had Fentanyl. I like it better than black tar heroine imho.

But cutting drugs with fentanyl is responsible for countless deaths. I'm hearing about it all the time and actually knew a guy from rehab named Jordan (native American) who drew a picture of Native Americans crossing the River Jordan. It was symbolic of going to Heaven. He died a week later when some girl gave him fentanyl-laced heroin. We all thought it was eerie and discussed it in group with sorrow (because he wasn't an asshole or sociopath like so many drug addicts).

But people keep telling me that Meth is often laced with fentanyl. That's like lacing meth with Heroine. It makes no sense!. To me that just sounds stupid, because anyone who is buying Speed, wants it to pump them up and speed things up. They aren't looking for a downer, so to lace it with fentanyl would sort of ruin the high for some people.

Also, I think it would be obvious if it was laced with fentanyl, because it would have a total opiod feeling to it.

I'd think it would be tough to OD on because my body would simply tell me "Dude! You're fucked up on fentanyl, don't take anymore hits!"

If you were shooting up large quantities of it, I could see how that could kill a person, were it laced with fentanyl. But I stay away from IV administration, because it's a total waste of the product imho.

(Heroin and fentanyl is a waste of money, but a good pleasant high. I'd hate to be addicted to it though!)

I'm just wondering, if the dope is laced with fentanyl, why is it impossible to detect? And why the hell would someone lace an upper with a downer in the first place?

Speedballing, which is combining an upper with a downer, most commonly Cocaine and Heroin used to be really popular. Cutting heroin with fentanyl makes sense from an unethical dealer's perspective because fentanyl is incredibly potent by weight, so they could make their heroin, which is more expensive and in demand, go further.

I believe people can OD on fentanyl with as little as 2 mgs, which is basically like a couple grains of sand. I've heard stories of practically every drug which is subject to adulteration being cut with fentanyl, I don't know if it is true or mostly myth. Apparently, some drugs that are found cut with fentanyl are not done intentionally, it's just that the dealers might sell multiple drugs and they reuse the same surfaces, so fentanyl finds it's way into other drugs.

I could be wrong but I've heard that Crystal Meth is fairly difficult to cut, I'm not sure if that is accurate or applicable with a drug like fentanyl which is active in micrograms.

Crystal Meth is hard to cut and maintain as chunks and crystal form. If people offer you meth that is just powder and shake, there is very high probability it is cut, and never should be purchased or trusted (in my opinion. And in anyone's educated opinion on the topic from what I gather.)

I had the opportunity to speed ball in Denver and I declined. I was never a big coke fan, and to have the heart speed up like that and crash in twenty minutes, then get pulled further and further down by the heroine just sounded unpleasant.

I know what happened to Christ Farley and Saint John Belushi Speed balling. It's really dangerous to speed your heart up like that and then have it dragged down by the heroine to fatal levels. Also, the heart when you speed ball has difficulty because it is being told to speed up and slow down at the same time and doesn't know how to respond.

Plus, I never enjoyed shooting up cocaine unless I was on Benzodiazepines and kinda wanted to die.

Otherwise, it was kinda a frightening feeling when I can feel my heart pound faster than I knew a heart could beat. It was an impossible high to enjoy because I could always feel my heart pounding and it brought with it anxiety so have no interest in cocaine whatsoever.

On Meth, even at my highest moments, I can't feel my heart beating unless I put my hand on my heart or near an artery. On Cocaine I can feel the fucker pounding (no matter what )so hard and fast , I'm hesitant to stand up and just sit there longing for it to stop, feeling like a heart attack or stroke just waiting to happen!

I don't find coke very euphoric either. So, no thanks on the speed balling (were someone to offer it again).

I don't think it is often actually cut with fentanyl, but possibly contaminated due to dealers using the same scales and other equipment for multiple drugs without properly cleaning it first.
