Where all are these legal now in U.S.?
I have seen talk of California, Colorado...also some of it may depend on what town or county you're in.
But nothing definite. Supposedly research into using them medicinally in the future. I know three types grow here in the wild, but don't wanna die trying them by using the wrong ones.
Road trip again is sounding good.

Shroom spores (equivalent to seeds) are legal in every state except California, Georgia and Idaho.

The Bay Area in California, around San Francisco has decriminalized personal possession.


I've went foraging once and had a successful adventure but it took over 2 hours to find some. The site Mushroom Observer is a good resource to find mushrooms local to your area and there are usually warnings of poisonous "copycat" strains on there. I was fortunate because while there were deadly mushrooms in the area that I foraged, none of them appeared like the Psilocybin variety and they didn't grow among them. A couple ways to help distinguish Psilocybin shrooms are by the stems bruising blueish when you pick them from the ground and then I also brought a piece of cardboard and took a spore print by removing the caps from a couple of the shrooms and pushing gill side flush against the cardboard for a minute or two to imprint on the cardboard which also turned a color, purple from what I recall.

the liberty caps in the fields here are unmistakable to me but i wish i could pick them year round.

shrooms give me diarrhea and sometimes the pukes too. that's why i prefer acid, which does those things too but not nearly as severe.

i haven't seen a shroom in many years anyway. i have no clue where to get them these days. when my water heater blew up last week i found a bunch growing around it, but i seriously doubt that they were a good kind of shroom.

I was taking note of the place and season as well, maybe I'll check it out. Who knows...

They haven't been made legal here in Canada, but it seems that it is inevitable that they will be. There are online dispensaries operating openly and the police don't bother them. It feels a lot like it did with weed about a decade ago.

I think so, but it is hard to tell right now because everything is fucked up right now, especially in North America, so I'd be worried if I felt normal.

They were legal here in the Netherlands (coincidentally around the time i was into tripping on them ), but too many accidents from irresponsible users (mainly tourists) leaded up to a ban..
