If I were to bet or invest on a religion

If I could place a bet on a religion similar to betting on a race horse, or invest in a religion the same way I buy a company's stock. That religion will be Islam.

Islam threatens anyone who mocks their deities, burns quarans, or vandalizes their mosques with death. Infidels are met with the same fate in more extreme incidents. Meanwhile you can mock Christianity, burn bibles, vandalize churches, and Christians barely do anything. The church hardly retaliated to muslim migrants in Europe setting churches on fire, and they hardly did anything about antifa setting fire to churches in the 2020 riots. Can you imagine if Christian immigrants and antifa did that to mosques in Saudi Arabia? There would be mass executions and shit would go down.

Betting is exactly what most of religion is about. And nobody gets to know if they "won" until well after they have died. There's a kernel flaw in this and yet, few people of faith will honestly recognize it.

I’ve often wondered the same if it were to happen in mainland China.

The crackdown would be so swift and severe that there’d be no chance of future retaliation. The outside world would look on in terror - but not a single thing would change in terms of doing business with China (even with all the forced labour accusations - some of which are of course true)

Would last maybe 30 minutes before the military would step in and start rounding people up en masse.

Sure, Islam enjoys a bit of jihad from time to time. But have you ever had to fight an astral traveler armed with a crystal?

Good thing I'm not in charge.
People thought Trump was bad... and he didn't favor war.
I wouldn't screw around, I'd hit the fuckers where it counts.
And I wouldn't stop until the world tyrants are on their knees.

so what exactly are you betting on them for? like which religion would win in a fight?

you know, maybe they're actually doing better with the whole "turn the other cheek" thing than we give them credit for.

More or less. Betting on which one will grow the most globally.

You'd think that'd be the case, but it seems Christianity is diminishing in participants while Islam is growing. One religion's prophet was a carpenter who taught to love thy enemy (Jesus). The other religion's prophet was a war lord who taught to conquer non-believers (Muhammad)

Yes, I threw a djinn (not to be confused with Din or Djarin) at them. I (or we technically) won.

Most 'jihads' are declared and carried out by fringe groups, extremist terrorist groups and lone wolfs. They're rejected by most ordinary muslims, which is kind of understandable when we realize the majority of the time they're the ones suffering under it.

My ex girlfriend was one of those.

But I think you already knew that, and just wanted to mess with my head.

I watched a video a couple weeks ago... something to the effect answering the question why astrology has gained in popularity in recent years? and I didn't really pay attention to that part of it but the brief rundown of the history did fascinate me. Apparently, the current version, where it's supposed to be for everyone and tell you about personalities and such is a relatively new take on it, like it was conceived of in the 19th or 20th century. Prior to that, most of the use of Astrology was closer to fortune telling and reserved for royalty or war generals, dictating when they should go to war or what orders to decree and such.

The thing about new age spiritualism is that its unlikely to become an official state religion. If it even becomes bigger than islam in a meaningful way, which seems unlikely.
The thing about the OP is that it is brought as a concern. Like its worse for the world that islam becomes bigger than christianity, or that its a real concern it will replace christianity in our western nations. Or of course because the general religion and its average followers are equated with islamic terrorists and radical groups. This is fearmongering.
Fact is that for the longest time the general form of christianity and how it impacted common lifes and society is very comparable to islam.
