My issue with Scripture is it causes people to judge and condemn.
Shinto says Dogma and Scripture distract you from loving and serving God or Kami.
Shinto is right.
Think of all the time and energy burned up and wasted arguing about how to correctly interpret Scripture.
It gets people paranoid about heretics and false prophets.
It makes people think non Christians are going to hell.
Each person needs to find the Religion that is right for them and leave other people to practice what their heart, mind, and soul feels called to.
Scripture leads to arguments that never resolve.
There is wisdom there. Take the wisdom, but focus more on relationship with your higher power.
Shinto is about relationship. Reading a book is not relationship with the being.
