How many times have you been in love?

A friend of mine asked me this question when we were in conversation last weekend, and when I asked him in turn he replied "many times."

Which has me marinating on how some people fall in love so easily. My answer was once, so not a thing that comes easy to me.

There have been other guys where if circumstances were different, or if *we* were both just slightly different, it could have happened, but you can't fall in love with potential. And my last relationship I cared deeply for him and probably tried to force something that wasn't there for far too long, but I never really felt deeply connected and in love with him.

Are you a person who falls in love easily or is it like a once, maybe twice in a lifetime lightening strike for you?

I think I can have a crush on someone/fall in love with someone quite easily. But they only get meaningful when its reciprocated. So I have not counted such infatuations :P

I fell for people too quickly sometimes but it wasn't love it was just boredom and lust and seeking a distraction. I only really got to a mental state where I was capable of loving someone during my last relationship, and so he might be the first and only person I've really fallen in love with romantically.

I think I can fall in love quite easily but there are just very few people I have the potential to fall in love with, so it might seem not easily :-)

A sucker punch from the universe. Satan is a fictional personification of evil. When it feels right its usually answered, in which instance its a good thing of course, i might even say: the best!

maybe this for me too, I think it can happen quite quickly and easily when everything aligns, but more difficult to find someone with whom you connect and where the potential is there.
and even more difficult to find someone with potential when you're both single and in the same place and emotionally available
