I very rarely do online gaming (expect when I am playing online classic NES and SNES games on my switch) or trading or engaging in Pokemon battles, but I have observed in recent years, that female gamers have really become a force in online gaming, and many male gamers feel either insecure and or emasculated that they often have to send these women some really vile and or threatening messages (many sadly including threats of rape I am sorry to say)

So you lose to a girl in a game of Warcraft or A FPS (for example), take it like a man and accept losing gracefully you shitheads.

Why anyone would chose to abuse or send threats to someone (of any gender) over gaming has me fucked, to be honest.

My guess is because online gaming brings out the worst verbal diarrhea in people. You hear some nasty things people say in those online gaming arenas. People get so much emotional energy invested into a game it brings out the worst in them.

You lose your inhibitions on the internet in general. It isn't real life, it's just a computer monitor, etc. So, when a sexually frustrated virgin sees women playing games (who get a lot more attention/donations from other sexually frustrated virgins who get none), they become jealous and depraved. However, since it's the internet, nothing holds them back, and they're often abetted by their fellow enraged virgins.
