Saw something on the internet the other day about people who intentionally get themselves crippled so that they can spend the rest of their lives in a wheelchair. Please tell me this isn't true.

Dax there are benefits to being disabled. I wouldn’t doubt that there are people who do it to garner sympathy. People with munchaussen would do this. Remember the Seinfeld epi where George faked being in a wheelchair for a job. A job where he didn’t have to do anything because they were meeting quotas by hiring a guy with a disability. He just sat in his office and used the disabled bathroom.
gypsies fake illness all the time to garner sympathy and gain money from people. Some have even been known to break their children’s legs in order to squish them into a stroller and pretend they are infants.
now as for the term of being crippled or disabled... disabled people.... In todays woke world we aren’t allowed to say crippled, it offends people who are not crippled. or should I say person with disabilities. Oh wait a minute... maybe people with different abilities would be better in today’s woke society. Or should we say special needs? Ah I think wheelchair bound might be ok to say?Last edited by Beach Ball Bitch; 05-21-2021, 06:41 PM.Comment

Nope, "differently abled". Until they change their minds and want to be called something else that we have to remember even thought we're busy with our own lives and don't give two shits what they're called anyway.
I've heard something similar to what the OP is saying. Parents have been caught making their own children sick in order to get sympathy or to nurture them back to health.👍 1Comment
