i can generally teach myself to do most any practical things like those listed. i could probably even figure out cooking, but it's just so miserable that i won't.

i've never been a big youtube tutorial guy. i think the only real skill i learned from youtube was how to fix a urinal that wouldn't stop running.

i'm better with written tutorials. but generally, as long as things don't have hidden components, i'm usually good at just looking at them from all angles and figuring out the general idea of how they work, and the problem and/or solution is usually pretty clear from there. for fixing things at least. for building something from scratch, that's where the tutorials really come in handy.

Yeah I am pretty much the same. Once I get a general idea after examining something I can fix or replace it.
i remember when DOS came out and I was trying to learn it and it kicked my butt. Sadly, it still does

I can do all that except fix a car. I'm basically popping the hood hoping to find a big on/off switch that has been switched off.

I somehow find the word industrious hard to identify with.

But carnal arts should be a thing ?
