    Puppy problems

Housebreaking a dog is never easy when you're constantly greeted by an unpleasant surprise on your rug. Of course it's part of the process of owning a new dog.

My new girlfriend and her 2 little dogs basically moved into my house. One is almost fully housebroken, but the other has an extra problem: she wets herself when she gets scared, excited, or when you reach down to pet her.

Worst part is this pup is an Eskimo breed. Which means she's got long hair and the piss just gets all over her fur. Anyone have any ideas on how to train her not to wet herself when she does this?

What ya doing to scare the dog? dont do that..

Anti psychotics for dogs.. block its trigger, it may later grow out of it and no medication needed.

Really sucks when its out of excitement, saw that before as well.
Out of fear is easier to solve, there Orison makes sense

I have no clue when its out of excitement, except hoping it stops when dog gets a bit older :P

It’s her act of submissiveness that does it more than literal fear.

For example: When she’s chewing on something she shouldn’t be, we tell her NO. She will roll on her back to show submission, and start leaking.

I’ll look into meds for the dog as well.

The dog is doing what dogs do. Drugs won't be necessary. Just follow it around until it arches its back to drop an egg. pick it up and place it down where you want the turd to be. Daughter unit trained her last dog using an excessive number of puppy pads on the floor. Once the dog was only going on the pads, she removed one a day until the dog was going on only 1 pad. Then the pad went next to the doggie door to the back yard. Then the pad was on the deck. Then the dog was trained.
