  • Texas

I keep meeting people from Texas who are pretty much the exact opposite of what you would think a typical Texan is like. Very open minded, like a good conversation and smoking weed lol. I'm also learning a lot about the Texas accent and how different it can be which totally fascinates me.

Sooooo what's Texas like? It seems cool besides the guns and the snakes, equally terrifying in my opinion

Last year I went to central Texas for a business trip. I really liked the southern hospitality and the people were super cool. It’s known for BBQ cuisine and football culture. The population of that state is rapidly growing so it’s a good place to live with lots of potential opportunities

Din Djarin Looks like your post and my reply got erased in the great glitch of Jan 18.

So here's my proof that "ethnic" Californians are immigrating to Texas

Not to mention big businesses like Tesla and HP have moved out of California to the Lone Star State.

I wasn't countering that they are. Just doubting that white english speaking americans is the most growing ethnic/cultural demographic there.

Just as I find it troubling you assume I’m bothered by growing numbers of non-whites in my country. I don’t give a hoot what shade they are, as long as they bleed red, white, and blue 🇺🇸

6-eyed I never thought it was primarily about skin color... I may hope that was clear, and so take mild offense of your tactic there

You do consistently portray the white protestant demographic and culture as being under attack, and display several xenophobic characteristics, especially against moderate muslims, which have more in common with moderate christians than islamic terrorists, yet you tend to conflate them with the latter.

Yeah right, you and the rest (namely stormountain and okie) would take every opportunity to try and pin me as a racist. It never worked obviously.

I occasionally point out examples anti-white racism and attacks on Christianity when it happens and I guess reality is hard to handle for some

I find this to be a pretty accurate description of Texans.

Women are definitely chatty and friendly. Football is a big thing here. Many people are well mannered and address each other with "sir" and "ma'am." The accent was pretty accurate too.
