This isn't my life. Just some positive and mostly negative realities about how fast life goes by.

How one might try to achieve certain things by certain milestones.

I'm turning 50 this year. I got about 20 years left to enjoy. I will make them all count. They'll be the best years of my life.

I'm spending retirement now and not be one of these people with 1 million dollars saved on their last day of work at 60 years old

That was my mindset back during my mid twenties. It didn't make any sense to me to wait until i'm old and weak to go out and make the most of my life. And who's to say i'll even make it to those years. I'm proud of myself for making the most of my youth and energy and not wasting it away at some soul sucking 9 to 5 job. I'm proud that i didn't become a sellout in life by making money as my number one priority instead of passion.

i think the obvious correct answer is to save enough for a good retirement, while spending enough for a good youth. like most things, either extreme is not ideal.

based on the milestones, i'm quite the failure. luckily, i've missed out on several of the bad ones too though. and i did manage to discover masturbation at least.
