    Story time! Great children’s books

For my first book to share and reading I picked Johnny the walrus. I recommend everyone watch. Great reactions from kids and it makes a very good point too. A must have in kids libraries.

But the kids reactions were really funny, plus it makes a point about what schools are telling kids these days.

You want a great children's book? Try Kristina Katrina and the Box. Totally apolitical.

Ok so this book is about a middle child who is alone as the other siblings team up. Some say this book you picked represents the nuclear family which is racist and needs to be dismantled. Haven’t you heard?

Hey, teacher, leave those kids alone.

Manufacturing adults, the least of men.

Did you like Johnny the walrus? Tom Sawyer might be a little much for kids who pretend to be a walrus... or ninjas! . But yes it is good.

Yeah, think we read Tom Sawyer at age 13-14. Ace book!

neonspectraltoast who said I was brainwashing them? i think telling children they are not boys, or are not girls is brainwashing to young minds. I think giving children hormone blockers at a young age is brainwashing. I don’t think children are of an age to know such things. I don’t think it is right for schools to push this at all. That is brainwashing.

The other day this kid was petting my dog and this girl says to the boy I am going to kick your ass. The boy says come over here and do it then. I looked at the girl and said...well that isn’t going to turn out well for you. She said why not. I said because he is a boy, a lot bigger than you and has more weight behind it, plus boys have more upper body strength, generally.

the boy looks at me and tells me that is racist. Lol. School teachings today. Telling girls they can compete in men’s sports and men can in women’s sports because their strengths and weaknesses are the same. Lol. Lies and brainwashing.

talkingto kids about colonization. I asked my nephew who colonizers are. He tells me white people. I asked him where he heard that. He said his teacher. I asked him if it was bad. He said yes. I said, look up the definition of colonization. He looked it up and I asked him again, Who is the “colonizer” in your class? The answer for his class was everyone but him. So again I asked him if he thought colonization was bad. He had to think about it. What are schools teaching? Whois brainwashing ?

Likahamadoolihan . isn’t Tom Sawyer a banned book? The moral compass of mr. sawyer has been called into question, I believe?

6-eyed did you check out the first story time posted? It is really a fun watch.

I loved James and Giant Peach book as a kid. But I absolutely hated the movie with a passion.
