    2) That Americans have a weird and whacky mindset when it comes to guns and violence.

Youfreeme I Don't Care Wether She Included Me Or Not....

Her Thread Was Cheap And Totally Out Of Line.

And I Shall Continue To Call It As Such.

        Cheers Glen.

It is pretty funny though, that all of our perceptions of Australia are so colored by the Australians who somehow found their way here, to this forum : p it will never not be funny.

        Cranky glen...
Don't worry i totally understand this.
It doesn't take much to make you grumpy.
It might be your age era.
(My parents are slightly older and snap quickly too)

Just how many weird subcultures exist. I've learned about incels, the differently gendered, strange sexual fantasies, various types of neuroses, crazy religious ideas, places I never knew existed, Reptile Jesus and more than I ever thought I'd know about Mussolini.

      Thanks guys!

      1) How to zoom chat.

      2) I didn't know grown adults can be quite combative over the "like button" to the point where they even throw a temper tantrum and threaten to leave. But that isn't the reflection of a juvenile society but rather passionate people fighting for a worthy cause. lol

      3) I also didn't know you guys had it in you. To not only keep the forum running despite the chaos but to even have a meet towards the end of the year.

This would be quite a list if I was to call out everything I have come to know since I first signed on here exactly 2 years ago, today!

However, some are worthy of sharing.
                1. The incredible teamwork this group pulled together to make this place a reality was never something I considered before. Then it happened.
                2. I learned that Irm collects and dominates more hobbies in a year than most people I know do in a lifetime.
                3. I found out that Zen was lining me up to get booted from Huge Fungus (even though I had already left, he made a big show of it).
                4. After knowing Nifty for a decade I find out that she has a melodic voice like Kate Nash and still looks like a teenager!
                5. 6 Eyes, doesn't even wear glasses.
                6. Toast prefers pancakes.
                7. Fae still has something magical in her brain.
                8. George joined, and then vanished again.
                9. vBulletin is a bargain (so I sent a few greenbacks)
                10. Chatting in a forum thread is ethereal compared to a traditional chat room
                11. I can smoke a bong on Zoom without getting fired.
                12. More of you make music than I imagined (I can only play the Onkyo)
                13. Some of the people I thought were hard leftists are surprisingly centrist
                14. A couple of the people I thought were hard rightists are surprisingly left
                15. It's uncanny how I can tell when somebody is off their meds
                16. I quickly forget who somebody is when they change names, so I end up acting like they're new until I figure it out
                17. Mally gets around
                18. If rolling becomes a moderator, we'll all be kicked off in a week
                19. I posted a recipe for a Reuben sandwich and nobody named Reuben has thanked me
                20. And we're nearly at 200,000 posts that didn't happen anywhere else, but can be seen around the planet

                Never forget!

                  I hate pancakes.

I haven't learned anything worthwhile from this place.

-More about Mussolini than I ever thought probable.
                        -I tried Tim Tams
-A lot about all of you as individuals. I've enjoyed getting to know everyone better. HF was such a big place that it was more difficult to read everyone's posts.

i know there are many other things but they aren’t coming to mind.

Nadesalingam family are back, and someone has brought them a house apparently and the locals have filled it with furniture

A positive news story from Australia since we seem to be trashing Aussies so far in this thread
