            A ghost in the night.

Or possibly a cloud from a massive bong rip.

Also, most likely, I don't recall and am not sure.

Aunt Jemima shouldn't be so attractive. Not that there aren't attractive black faces, but it's not like one kind of cute (Aunt Gemima) woman is making all this syrup. On the other hand, she is pleasant.

My point is...why would we make any assumptions as to who Aunt Gemima is. I suppose because black people didn't have it so great in 1946.

Why I say she shouldn't be so attractive is, we should let the syrup do more of the talking. That silky, brown ooze, that spreads evenly across my flapjacks. So sticky. So sweet.

The woman on the bottle was a millionaire when she retired from modeling. "Uncle Ben" was also wealthy.

But the single biggest travesty I see and have seen since about 8th grade is the use of "Uncle Tom" as a pejorative. This means a LOT of people didn't get beyond the first chapter of the book. If they had, they might realize that Uncle Tom was a hero.

So much of this bullshit today is because people have a skewed view of history and apply random elements of it against modern morals as if things have not changed at all in America.

Time Square before Disney took over. Interesting.

Yeah... 42nd street (and all of NYC) used to be a magical place filled with sex, drugs, and rock n roll.
Now it's SFW, vegetarian cafes, and generic pop music.

Although it is safer, so that's a plus.

                          OH YEAH.
Some of you will know that The Kick Box generally ends up as a beer review thread for the most part.
But I'm going to try to stay away from that in the Treehouse.

                          Specifically because there's already a beer/drinking thread.
Which I can plan on using to leave my reviews in, going forward.

In case you haven't found your way there yet, have a linky: Beer
