  • British Or English?

Do you use these terms interchangeably? I'm curious. Over here US citizens call themselves Americans, but America is not a country but a continent. So how do you all do it?

Neither.......Down Here We Call Them...."Poms"......Or "Pommie Bastards"........(runs for cover)......

    Cheers Glen.

No particular reason why, though. I think England gets conflated with the United Kingdom, though.

I just use whatever comes to me. I just know i hate them both.

They have these weird, funny voices when they speak. Strange people.

Aussies are even weirder. Best to just avoid them at all cost.

America is a legit name to call the USA.

Language wise i call both UK english and US english english. I don't use the word british for language myself.
Even though Americans talk english and their language is generally called english as well, they themselves are not (by me or my countrymen anyway).

Btw my own language is called dutch in english but never in dutch. Our language is called netherlandish.
