    Have a strange dream?
    A reoccurring dream?
Caught someone saying weird things in their sleep? Ever sleep talked yourself?

    Post it here

I don’t dream very often anymore. But last night I had a weird one. I had a new job at some office space where I answered phones, filed reports, analyzed data, and researched.

After being hired, I partied at a friend’s apartment complex and got drunk. I told them I’d walk home that night. But I never made it. During my walk I realized it was 7am and i needed to get to work in an hour. So the closest place I could find coffee was a boutique chocolate shop. I stood in line for a long time, got my coffee and my breakfast chocolate and realized I was 15 min late for work. So I ran as fast as I could to get back to the office. At that point I forgot the name of my place of work, and I forgot where it was located!

I just ran and ran trying to look for it. Kept on running and never losing breath with stamina and determination. The I woke up; feeling relieved I wasn’t late to a job for an employer I didn’t know.

Here is a place for people to share with everyone weird, peculiar, important, unusual, beautiful, terrifying, memorable, (or anything else) dreams that they want to.
Also they can comment on their interpretations of those and impact on their lives (if any).

      GO!!

      :-)

6-eyed I promise I didn't copy you here! Strange that we both thought about the same thing on the same day! I only put three exclamation marks at the end of "Dreams" on the title!

great idea! i just wish i have some to tell you about soon.
i so rarely remember night dreams these days. this morning i woke up at six then went back to bed after an hour, and that's when i remember dreams best.
but this morning i just had a feeling of something i was in the middle of but don't know what it is.
i'll make a point to nap more. for this thread.

Oh maybe keep a journal by your bed specifically for dream journaling?? There's that sweet spot of time when you wake up and you kind of remember the dream. So frustrating when you forget about it!

Guest i don't think i even have a moment of remembering if i wake after all-night sleeping, not since i was about 27. i remember it was when i was working at Amazon, specifically, haha. i suddenly noticed i wasn't remembering dreams much, and that never changed.
but it's like it used to be, if i sleep in the day or nap. then i remember them.
Dream journal a great idea though, for that. i have some on a digital file and if i re-read them it's weird as hell because i can't remember them anymore. i can't remember writing them even.

Jessica I noticed a significant change in my dreams once I started smoking weed regularly and I've heard its the same for a lot of people. Like my dreams used to be cool and now they're mundane at best

I dont often remember my dreams. I've been waking up with an unsettled feeling a lot lately so I assume they haven't been good, but who knows

But I did remember a dream about a tree full of owls a couple of nights ago. I looked up the symbolism of owls in dreams and read they can symbolize a hidden awareness and intuition in your subconscious. Whatever that means. I have been doing quite a bit of digging in the ol' subconscious lately

I intentionally eat late cause it gives me weird dreams. ?

The last dream I remember, I had moved back to Boise and stopped by the convenience store I always frequented to buy some beer. There was a very long line of people at the checkout line and then I realized I was naked. I'm like, damn hope no one I know stops in...which of course is exactly what happened. I got tired of waiting in line and opened a beer from the 6-pack I had gotten from the cooler, and it was Coors for some reason. I don't think I've ever had one. The end.

Also been having recurrent nightmares about my dad. He shows up after all this time having faked his own death, and he's as crazy as ever and wanting me to help him. I don't think I've had a good dream about him since he died.

Oh, I was following the other Dreams thread. Guess folks are using this one though now.

I've been having vivid dreams for the last like 3 months! I've heard there is such a thing as Pandemic dreaming (or something related to this pandemic), but it could also be from meds.

Last night though, now I've forgotten. oh wait! yeah, it was really weird. I was in university, but already married, and then there was a guy from my jr high there that was trying to take advantage of me. Took me a minute to realize it, but then I screamed at him to leave. I was left in this restaurant down town and had to call someone else (not my husband) for a ride, because H was mad at me. lol

My doctor said a lot of people are having vivid dreams now because they finally have time to sleep, less commute time, for those who still even have a job so that was his reasoning

I'm so glad to see this thread! I have things I want to ask others about their dreaming...but I'm going to wait until later. I'm tired and need to go to sleep when that desire hits! Perhaps I shall dream...

This will be a great thread to watch. ?

Guest first I want to say how very interesting it is that you and Weasley (was he your cat in the dream or was there another cat that was your's in the dream?) were in this dream together and then how together you met another animal that would normally be considered somewhat dangerous - especially to a woman and her cat! But this animal is something else indeed.

I can see or read or whatever a number of thing this could mean...First off, regardless if it was Weasley or your "dream cat" - I believe it is Weasley letting you know he loves you...you indicated the other day that you didn't blame him for not wanting to be with you, which made me want to cry! It isn't he doesn't "like" you - its that he loves that big family companion ship thing from time to time...BUT HE IS YOUR'S. He may like to love them but he loves you and you are his. He may need to help them with something...MAYBE -

these people are supposed to help lead you to another apartment or to another living situation!

We never know why things happen, but I believe Weasley could be your guardian animal. Together you encountered something that was unfamiliar and would be scary...yet it turned out well.

I do have some other questions in general though. I had to get that thought out there before I started on my mess. lol

Weasley is definitely my familiar. We talk all the time. He's just like Angelina, he gets annoyed when I keep going on. Sometimes I don't know when to stop with the lecturing. If it wasn't for Weasley, I wouldn't have met that family. Or a few of my neighbours, actually. So there must be a reason our paths have crossed. If I had to think about it, (I'm lol'ing thinking about your post about going to deep into symbology as I'm about to do ?) but they saying "wolf in sheep's clothing" I think can apply the opposite way too. A sheep in wolf's clothing.i just feel like... People hide themselves away because a long time ago they felt ashamed for being the way they are. And so they get angry. I have been told a lot of people are intimidated by my honesty, which leads me to believe that a lot of people are lying to themselves. Like... A lot. To the point of delusion sometimes. I think maybe the wolf is reflective of that, how sometimes I feel like people can be so nasty, but it's only because they're hurt inside : (

Guest I think you are so right about how people are - often people act as they do out of fear and anger. I think many MANY people lie to themselves...I'd go so far as to say more lie to themselves than not. In my life I have truly seen people disguise in all kinds of ways..the sheep in wolf's clothing is very apt.

dang 6-eyed I posted in the other thread, and didn't realize it wasn't this one until I arrived. I am very VERY VERY interested in all of the questions you posed in your OP...

in fact, yesterday/last night when I posted I said I had some questions and would get into it later...and it was what you have posed. lol I love a coincedence, too, even if I can't prove it.

I wanted / want to know about people having reoccurring dreams. I have had "sets" of reoccurring dreams throughout long period of my life. The only reoccurring dream I have now is more reoccurring theme. There was a time I would regularly "visit" this other place where I had a house and friends (not correlated to anybody I know here!) but I would STILL always have my son... There are other reoccurring things I'll discuss later.

I have never heard anyone say anything weird in their sleep...but I have woken myself up "on the phone" with someone. Like Meliai has mentioned not remembering her dreams but having unresolved feelings from them...that is how I always wound up feeling after my own talking dreams. It would be later I'd forget; just long enough for me not to remember it. Then I would get this odd, indefinable, what am I not seeing or remembering feeling.

Definitely y'all were both posting at the same time..

And I wanted to post in both.... or could they be combined?

It's been a long time since I had them, but for a while in my late teens early twenties I often dreamed of rivers, and even when it was very different looking, I always knew it was different parts of the same river.

I have had recurring dreams in the past. The losing teeth one is my brains old favourite. But I used to have a dream that I was going to an airport, but I forgot my passport. I end up going to the airport and getting on the plane, going to the place and then the plane back.. Never lands. Sometimes it's turbulence, sometimes it kind of just flies out into space.

I used to have a kind of recurring dream where I was at what I can only describe as a theatre. Like a play theatre. And everyone I've ever known is in the audience, and I'm on the stage even though I don't think I'm really in the performance, and I keep wanting to get on stage but I never do

I've been following but also posted in the other. I second the idea that these should be combined if possible.

To answer your questions from my history (not like yesterday ), yes to strange dreams, not sure about reoccurring dreams-maybe bits of dreams are same (and definitely lots in same locations, but those are all places I've been irl), and yes to both catching someone and sleep talking myself. Unfortunately I never remember those nor does the person hearing me. It's a shame too because I'd like to remember the funny things people have said and would like to know what I'm saying! Lol
