The birthrates are declining in many western countries, which is great on itself. Except the dutch government has the conviction we need the same amount of numbers, so it needs to be upped by immigrants. I really really doubt that is needed.
A totally different problem: global overpopulation... can not be curbed by our countries in the near future. As we are not massively increasing our numbers. Well, we can help of course, but it will be indirectly by assisting other countries.
