I came here from HF a while ago. Okay so there are a couple of forums where we can post bit but nothing ... zilch ... nada .... like jumps out at anyone coming here for the first time. So maybe the powers that be need a rethink. Maybe put up a few Forums that are more spicey perhaps? Maybe some that are controversial maybe. Maybe a few about how the Dems stole the Presidential election. Get to the cutting edge. IMHO there isn't much here that really says WOW!!!!

I noticed threads with themes as you seem to be craving and I was also looking for more :P

It stands or falls not only with having these threads but also how the convos in it are going (quality wise, reason, logic, a sincere interest in understanding the others viewpoint instead of focussing on being right and act defensive when being countered :P). I think on here so far the term deplorable fits :P

I don't know. I don't get this kind of post. Just create what you want to see. What do you think "the powers that be" should actually do? This is a community created community. There are a bunch of different areas. It's up to individuals to create the conversations that they want to have.

I apologize for my rant Jess. I realize now that I need to give Treefort more time to get organized. I'm sure that it takes loads of skill and hard work to get something like this to function properly and at the same time try to please everyone. I bow my head in shame. no don't apologise.. I mean, we're NOT in the process of trying or organise anything.. so if there is something missing, I definitely want to help create it. But i'm not really clear what you want. We have quite a lot of sections.. we never wanted to end up with sections that were mostly unused and only plan to create new ones if current ones are over-crowded. If you have tangible suggestions, we do want to hear them..
but at the end of the day, we created this place to provide a bunch of existing friends/frenemies ; P with a hang out, because our old one kicked half of us out, haha. At providing that, it's succeeding. And if that's all it ever was.. that doesn't bother me so much..

I'm doing my own thing via other social medias to try to "advertise" us.. because I do agree more people would be invigorating to the community. I think that is perhaps at the heart of what you're saying.. you have already started lots of threads and I appreciate you being here for that reason. Forums are not a very "current" way to socialise.. I think we'll always have a hard time finding new members who actually stay.
