I'm at a loss. I'm really glad I was taught how to type without looking at the keyboard, but didn't really learn how to be a worthwhile person growing up. Come to think of it, I really don't remember any real wisdom coming to me until I was about 20. As far as being responsible and mature is concerned....holy shit....I'm still waiting.
As an adult I learned that pride , vanity, and narcissism , need to go on a daily kamikaze mission. They need to die and be fought. That is why I welcome my receding hair line and the fact that I'm not getting any younger, and welcome any other blemishes that come.
I also learned from the apparition at Fatima Portugal 1917 (miracle of the sun) that suffering is good for us and atones for the sins of the world and makes reparation and more powerful prayers when offered up, even more if the heart is pure that is doing the offering.
I kinda learned that from my childhood because my Dad kidnapped us (after my mother won custody) and took us to Fatima Portugal to try and raise us, but I never actually put it into practice till after becoming an adult.
I guess one thing I take from childhood as well was Grandpa singing "People living in glass houses should not should not throw stones". I'm definitely living in a glass house.
Let's hear a wise lesson you learned from your youth?
