  • Australia or The USA - Which is the better country?

I know better can mean a lot of things but for those who have visited both countries, which country would you rather live in?

I’d prefer to live in Australia but have travelled to a few parts of the US which I loved. Have been to LA, New York, San Francisco, San Diego, Las Vegas, Nashville, New Orleans.

If I was going to live anywhere in the US I reckon I would choose San Diego. Was a very cool city.

    I'd prefer Australia as well.

Went to California and Hawaii when over in the USA.
Nice places but busy and smelly

California is where all the cool people are. When we were over there we saw the place where twin peaks was produced. There was a tour there.
We went to Disneyland, movie world in LA.

Sanfransico we saw the golden gate bridge. Plenty of shops and transportation that are called cable cars.

Also an airport that was pretty big.

Hawaii we saw Pearl Harbour which was really interesting. Also the place is full of japanese people who either moved there and live there because it's better than what Japan is.

Beach life in Hawaii is pebbles on the beach in the sand.
    Motels were busy.
    Food was good there.

We saw loads of fast food places as well.

Back in Australia you see a better relaxed lifestyle.

America is too rushed and their politics are fueled by billionaires.

If i chose to live anywhere in America i'd live on the border of America and canada.
Because canada is similar to Australia.

Weather in Hawaii is friggin awesome, always sits around 27C for 24 hrs a day, all year round
Aside from that, I prefer Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam to either Australia or US

It was warm there. Humid at night though

I have travelled to many cities in the USA. Oz seems to be a great country but the Aussie accent would be too much for me to take for long.

I don't know, I feel like I'd prefer silly political drama over silly footy drama.

Ugh, February 2020 I really should have just fucked off over to Thailand for a year or two or however long this is going to last

Almost did, but I thought the first lockdown would only last a month and everyone would get over themselves, them I'd be able to go over in July like I usually do
                    Look how that turned out

We still need to apply to our government to go overseas and have a humanitarian reason to do so, even if you don't plan coming back. The only country in the world where that's the case

Yeah VG...you were totally downplaying the whole thing; now you're the biggest scaremonger.

My fear is this is the common cold, but deadly.
