This happened to me at Target today. I bought some groceries and a DVD or two. One of the DVDs (a steal @ $ 1.99) was the totally sappy Love Story - from way back in the 1970s. I only bought it because it reminded me of my sister that passed away way too young in the 1980s. She adored the movie, and was forever trying to get me to watch it. So I figured the price was right, so why not go for it!
Little did I know that this innocent decision would prove to be a major chick magnet. She was a gorgeous dark haired, blue eyed twentysomething sweetheart. And she kept on praising the movie to the rafters, and even went so far as to hint that she would love to watch it w/me.
I finally got up the nerve to tell her I didn't think my wife would approve (huge lie - I don't have a wedding ring or wife as far as I know...).
She seemed sad, and this made me sad big time. I just hope God appreciates my spiritual actions...
