And I dont think the purpose was to garner sympathy, the original purpose was to act as a wall to protect the other protestors because it wasn't really expected that police would brutalize mothers and pregnant women. If they DID brutalize them, thats on the police, not the women protesting

American police seem to have taken the wrong message from the anti-racism protests. Instead of stopping beating up black people, they are trying to reach equality by assaulting everyone, no matter your race or gender. #diversity

Have you seen video of the navy vet that was beaten? He went to protest with the wall of moms, he tried to talk to federal agents, and was beaten with a baton and tear gassed for....talking.
What is happening with the overreach of federal authority in Portland should be concerning to all, and conflating all protestors with antifa or Marxists (not that you've mentioned Marxists but our own president made that assertion) is just a tactic used to further silence the right to peaceful protest.

No one loses the right to peaceful assembly just because other protestors turn violent.
and whether or not it is smart as an expectant mother to protest is a totally different issue from whether or not they have the right to peacefully protest without being beaten and tear gassed for it.

So the wall of moms were throwing explosives and jabbing them with serrated objects? It seems like you're conflating two completely separate events but if you have proof they were involved in all that I wouldn't mind seeing it

I've watched the video of the navy vet I mentioned several times and there was definitely no reason for the federal agents to mistake him for someone throwing explosives yet he was beaten. There's no way to justify that.
