I would not put Kennedy and Obama in the same category. Kennedy avoided a conflict with the Soviets that could have been very serious. Having Soviet nukes 90 miles from the US was not acceptable and Kennedy solved it methodically and without firing a shot. Obama did a LOT of shooting, with drones. And the collateral damage (Obama's drones killing innocent people) was often over 90% for a given strike.

Granted, Kennedy sent "advisors" to Vietnam, but he was killed before he could make any progress. So Johnson escalated the conflict by shipping thousands of troops over. Their supplies were carried by the Sea-Land corporation. Ladybird was a major shareholder. The Obama administration turned North Africa and Syria into a shooting gallery.

And, thanks to Bush and Biden, we still have Americans getting killed in Afghanistan.

Something else to consider is how we have politicians in their late 70s running the show. How is this possible when they tell the rest of us to retire at 65? Simple really, they have healthcare that is an order of magnitude better than what even the wealthy non-Washington corporate masters get. The rest of the Americans get very little from the government for healthcare.
