The salvage company is out of the Netherlands, which they call the premier salvage company in the world, they say. Looks like they are prepared! The stern is in Africa, they have to be carful that they don’t crack the hull. If that happens the canal clean up will take years. This could shut down trade completely

i wonder how long until middle east (or chinese) terrorists figure out how awesome it would be for them to bomb a few cargo ships and sink them in the canal...it would cripple much of the worlds economy for quite a long time...even better if they could plan it out to get the panama one jammed up simultaneously

I think this could have been intentional. You know how much that cargo is worth now? A lot more. My stocks are doing well. Isn’t this Cargo boat Asian owned? I believe it is. If the hull breaks and they can’t get that ship out and cleaned up for months... prices will go crazy. It would be best for some if that happened.

Cripple is an exaggeration. Several of the ships in line are already taking the long route. It would damage Egypt financially though. They're getting a shitload of toll money for each of those container ships passing through there
