Time For The USA to Stop Protecting Israel.

An Israeli soldier or soldiers shot an Al Jazeera reporter in the head. The IDF tried to spin this tragedy by suggesting that Palestinian freedom fighters had shot her. This was soon put to bed when it was proved that if this was the case the bullet would have had to go around a corner to have killed Shireen Abu Akleh.
I hope that those responsible for Shireens murder will be charged and tried in a court of law. Past experience tells me not to hold my breath waiting for this to happen.

After the UN General Assembly (a useless group of idiots) adopted the resolution to partition Palestine on 29 November 1947, Britain announced the termination of its Mandate for Palestine, which became effective on 14 May 1948. Imediately the State of Israel declared its independence.

Israels so called right to Palestine is based on what was written in the christian bible which most intelligemt people know was written by men and not by some invisible so called god.

What is happening in Palestine now is exactly what happened in South Africa prior to 1994. The world including then USA sanctioned the RSA because of Apartheid yet they continue to support a state that is equally as guilty of the same thing. Why does the USA continually turn a blind eye to Israeli atrocities and at the same time condemn Palestinians rights?
"The embers of our past lives lie smouldering within us awaiting the winds of remembrance to fan them in flames of reality." Dax.

    Because...

    1) The US wants a western style ally in the middle east to make meddling in that corner of the world easier.
    2) Jesus.

Because the religious right wants fulfillment of prophecy, so that Lordy Jesus can return.

              Me neither Amerijuanican

What is your primary reason to be eager for His return, if I may ask? What do you think will happen?

In regards to the thread topic, I'm not sure He would solve this or any political conflict.
In the Bible its stated the dead will be resurrected.. (among other things)

I would only imagine he would make sure we finally have world peace, love one another as we are all basically the same, in his own image. And put a stop to the nasty international power instabilities. And yes, I would guess my own country would be a part of the process of being "schooled". As would several others.

USA should stop being partisan. Seems both israelis and palestines need protection from the international community. It's a very hopeless conflict, partly because the biased support of the USA. It all started of course when certain western countries created new borders in an area where they should never have had the primary say at all.

Ron Paul mentioned this on Bill O'Reilly's (prick...) show, the fact that America was somewhat to blame for the crisis in the middle east, starting in the 1940's. I recall Bill cutting Ron off with "you can spare me the history lesson, Ron..." Typical O'Reilly jag-bag behavior.

Consider for a moment that a significant fraction of the country's congressmen actually want the world to end. They look forward to it.

Why can't we elect normal people?

Normal people are not allowed in the upper echelons of higher American society.
All about power. There may be 500-ish in our country that have that kind of "clout". Just an off the wall estimate.
Just remember, Jeffrey Epstein was one of those men. That says something...

Sounds like there needs to change something over there then. If the 'plebs' unite it can be done.

which would only be possible online, in which case things would be shut down, and lots of other unfortunate repercussions would take place. Remember 2020? Yeah, that was just a test.

It's just as likely that Christ already returned, collected the faithful and marooned the rest of humanity here. Think about the last 4000 years. At first there was a lot of contact with God and his servants. Then, about 2000 years ago it all abruptly stopped. A whole collection of new holy books was written, by humans, and the path to salvation was funneled through the church.

We're on our own folks, exiled to a bubble in the galaxy that barely allows radio waves. In Adam's fall, we sinned all!

God helps the man that helps himself. So, yes we're kind of on our own.
Sin is a fictional human concept

The endless array of sins are indeed what humans have created to fight our animal nature. However, one of the things I always admired about Christ was how he distilled it all down to a singular concept, taking advantage of someone. All sins have that as a cornerstone. And I'll be the first to admit that it's very hard to exist in the modern world without taking advantage of someone, often by proxy.
