    Colbert insurrection at the capitol

Steven Colbert’s crew of journalists and writers breach the capitol. Charged with unlawful entry, harassing members of congress, and allegedly filming a comedy sketch. Apparently Adam Shiff’s staff members allowed these people in. They were arrested and held 1 night in jail. Now that the precedent has been set for anyone who breaks into the capitol as an insurrectionist, will Colbert’s staff be held in solitary confinement with lengthy prison sentences? I doubt it. Liberal privilege shows us that one side is immune from the law. See the 2020 riots and the CHAZ summer of love, and Kamala Harris raising funds to bail out antifa rioters. https://www.zerohedge.com/political/...ted-us-capitol

Where they trying to overthrow the government as in the other case? In direct reaction to the call of the former president who lost the elections. Might matter a little bit.

Thousands of Colbert's journalists/cult followers broke through the Capitol fencing, assaulted Capitol Police with hockey sticks and bear spray, broke through windows, invaded the House chamber and shouted for the Vice President to be hung in order to stop the lawful transfer of Presidential power...yeah I saw that on the news.

Here's one of them. Hard to tell but I think that's a "Make America Colbert Again" hat he's wearing.

It was clearly a comedy skit which went too far, and they were arrested accordingly.

Unlike those thugs on the sixth that stormed the Capitol building, pushed their way through barriers, and beat Police officers in an attempt to incite a coup.

In the past they would have been shot or hung for sedition (which is what they deserve) Instead they’ve been given a slap on the wrist from a few months in jail to a few years.

You think the January 6th people deserve to be shot or hung? Geez. What they did was shitty, but I can't bring myself to get THAT angry about it.

I find most Democrats feel this way. It’s just that Coldwater lacks a social filter

The police at the capitol allowed a lot of them inside. Just as Adam Shiff let Colbert’s intrusive journalists inside unchecked.

Trump requested maximum security at the capitol. Yet the capitol security was operating only at 50% on January 6th.

But isn’t that really the problem, that you care so little for this democracy that you’re willing to let people get away with overthrowing this counties legislative process.

Yes, there were a few capitol Police officers who were sympathetic to their cause, as one might expect, but the vast majority stood their ground and were beaten back by the mob.

It was nothing less than a coup D’état

As for trump asking for maximum security, yeah, for the rioters, not the police.

I almost feel sorry for the guy. Trump and his zombie horde totally threw him under the bus. No honor at all.

A bunch of idiots like that aren't going to overthrow the countries legislative process. They are stupid people that did something stupid for a stupid reason. What they did showed some pretty poor judgement, but hardly warrants a death sentence.

They should have burned some buildings down . Bit of vandalism and looting and some shooting. Attack some police stations , then it might have been reported as a peaceful protest on the news , as buildings burn fiercely and peacefully in the background .

It's actually unfortunate they didn't got to Pence. So we would know for sure to what extent they would act upon their poor judgement. Now people can set them away as stupid people that just did something stupid..

Thank god for that. I'm sure Pence is also grateful. I'm not saying they don't deserve any punishment, but I wouldn't propose the death penalty.
