Many Melbourne suburbs in lockdown. Shutdown due to being in the so called Hotspots.

Pretty scary stuff.
This is what the second wave looks like it also looks a lot like people being complacent.

For those who think that it's a hoax 10,000 people have refused to be tested.
Those that are being tested are getting put into lockdown.

i think it's not so much that we don't give a damn, but just that we've been lied to by the media and government about pretty much everything for so long that we just don't know what to believe at this point. and it's not like we're being presented with a unified answer to what's going on now either. from the media, i've heard everything from "everyone catches it and dies" to "you might want to maybe be careful when you're partying with 600 of your closest friends." from the government, i've heard everything from "everyone catches it and dies" to "it's a fucking hoax, it doesn't exist period." even from actual front-line sources i personally know, like nurses and health department workers, well, they mostly all seem to say we're being lied to and it's not that big of a deal. but then i only know a handful of them and they're all in smaller towns.

the point is, people do care, they just don't know what to actually care about. as a general rule anyway. then there's also an obnoxiously large group who claims to be super panicked about the virus so they can't possibly go back to work, but then you see them all over facebook at the bars hugging up with 20 of their favorite drinking buddies all while nobody is even thinking about masks and whatnot.
