Has anybody noticed?

The spike in Karen activity over the past month or so. It seems like every day on the news or my Twitter feed it's like another day another Karen. One more white bitch exercising her privilege. To me the I hate to say it funnier ones are the Qanon Karens who video/livestream their own Karen behavior.

I'm not really sure how these 'Karen' white ladies are acting any more privileged than other people who have been shown destroying property and acting like douchebags to police officers in recent months.

i haven't really noticed a significant increase. the world has been packed with karens for a while now.

i also don't watch the news or twitter, so that may account for some of it.

It seems like my Twitter feed lately has been full of Karen videos. It just seems to have picked up in the last month or so.

I did the social media "Black Out" yesterday. I checked back in on Twitter after work (after midnight) and my feed was full of videos of angry white people screaming about wearing masks, screaming at Asians in restaurants etc. But even before that it seemed like another day another Karen throwing another tantrum about having to wear a mask and emptying her shopping cart on the floor of the supermarket, or screaming at someone writing in chalk in front of their house, or having a temper tantrum with a couple of epithets thrown in over something trivial.

I'm not sure that there's more of it... I think maybe the trend for people filming and posting it is increasingly popular. But yes I have seen more videos lately. (Instagram)

I dated a Karen many years ago...about the third date, she was upset and crying on my shoulder, about this terrible S.O.B. that she had been with previously, how bad he was, she was sick of him bugging her, etc.

She never answered her phone when I called after that night. I asked her Bro-in-law @ work a while later, he said she was back living with that d-bag ex of hers.

I concluded that women like crappy guys, and I was just too nice.
Figured that when a guy treats them like shit, they respect that.

Because I was careful to show her my nice side. I thought it was the thing to do. That's what my momma taught me. lol

To do over again, I'd try to get her panties off on the first date.
Without regard for how she felt about it. Sure, she'll get pissed. But they like the rush of drama.
These are the kind that get the girl, and when she gets desperate to feel that rush of shittiness again, she goes right back.
I've been left too many times, for the shitty guy before me. But no woman ever tries to come back to me after she has a rift with some other guy.
This, along w/ other signs/indications, has led me to my opinion.

actually, i suspect karens are probably the most likely group to end up with the pushover "beta male" types.

I'd love to be able to address this concisely. Maybe I'll try at some point. But i don't think it's that we like crappy asshole guys.. We like certain personality traits that are FAR more common in crappy guys, but nice guys theoretically could have those traits and still be nice guys.

I hate to say it but I'm all for Karen shaming. Regular Karen's are actually easy to shame since it's not them filming and posting their behavior. I saw another one from Instagram of a Qaren (Qanon Karen) that a woman posted losing her shit because her doctor wouldn't prescribe her Hydroxocloroquine "Just in case." Those are the ones that you can't shame because they post it themselves and are proud of it.
