Yes true and they further set up daycare centres and registered children for it that did not exist. As daycare was covered by the government. 100Million + and millions were stolen and that money left the country.

i'm far from an expert, but i don't think that's really part of socialism. it can happen if socialism is implemented poorly, but it's not part of the definition.

I don't understand why people want socialism. The ultimate example of socialism is the public toilet. Which had you rather shit in, your own toilet or a public toilet? Which is more likely to be clean, have toilet paper, not have obscene graffiti on the walls? Actually, similar things can be said about any public space.

seriously though, i don't think it's mostly the lazy or stupid people who want socialism. they generally seem to be totally apolitical. it seems to me that most people in favor of social programs are people who see other people struggling to survive and it makes them want to do something to ensure that nobody is denied the basic resources needed to get by.
