    Weird Foods

What's the weirdest thing you have ever eaten?

When I lived in SE Asia I was sitting at a bar, and a just drop dead gorgeous Cambodian woman comes up beside me, sits down with a plate of like... steamed roaches. The big water bug looking kind. She offered me one, and I've had enough cocktails to give it a try. The worst part? Not bad at all. Tasted a little bit like lobster.

Guinea Pig when I was in Ecuador. It was kinda greasy but very tender and good. Comparable to duck.

I haven't really come across any particularly weird foods. Probably because I have mostly lived in small towns where sweet and sour pork is considered too exotic for most people, and my international travel consists of one drunken night in Windsor, Ontario.

I drank a beer that was made with sheep poop once. It was not bad.

oh and I impulsively ate a cricket not too long ago.

I've never been too adventurous with food. A couple people have sworn by Tongue Burritos, which several Mexican joints offer around here but I've yet to try it.

I feel like both of these statements need expanded upon.

Most weird foods seem to be animals parts

To be fair, I find it kind of weird to intentionally eat a salad.

Same... I don't eat rabbit food.

And don't get me started on salad dressing. The smell of that about makes me puke.
mother moon -she's calling me back to her silver womb,
father of creation -takes me from my stolen tomb
seventh-advent unicorn is waiting in the skies,
a symptom of the universe, a love that never dies!

But if you're going to call salad "rabbit food" then why isn't meat "dog food"?

I don't really like what most people mean when they say "salad" either though. Or salad dressings.

Some carnivores seem to think there are only the two extremes to this matter.

Anyway, on many minutes of pondering. The weirdest food I've ever eaten is not really considered weird, which is even weirder. Some kind of candy made entirely of chemicals and sugar, probably.

People who can go without bread astound me. I cannot not eat bread. It makes me miserable and I never feel satisfied.

yeah - I need my bread and crackers and carbs. Carbs are my friend. I'm truly not one of those people that could ever do without carbs. Youfreeme carbs are even required in my diet. lol
