  • Where are my glasses?

Have you ever gone looking for your glasses in the morning, then realized they are on your face?

Or how about putting your key in the lock of someone else's home just out of habit? Been there, done that!

Do share. I found my phone in a box next to a cup I never used. The only reason I found it was an alarm was set.

Dont do drugs kids! I love you all and don't want to give bad advice!

No glasses here, I have perfect vision. At least I did last time I checked. Although lately I've been having a hard time reading distant letters so old age may be starting to set in.

I also don't habitually unlock other people's doors. Although I do sometimes grab the wrong key for one of the doors at work because I'm used to grabbing a different one.

I think my most common thing along those lines is that I'm constantly entering my password in the username field.

I always know when I have my glasses on but sometimes I can't tell when I have my contacts in. I have to look across the room to see if I can read something and if i can its like "ok, they're in. We're good."

dude me too. I'm like wtf? I don't care about this. I certainly didn't subscribe to this. Glad to know I'm not alone in having that randomness happen to me.

so what does being subscribed to a thread actually do?

the only thing i can find about subscriptions is a "subscribe when posting" option, and it seems to be defaulted to off. but this isn't the most user friendly software on the back end, so it might be called something else for no good reason.

I'm not sure exactly, My best guess would be that you subscribed to a (sub)forum and not just a particular thread or you have a subscription setting turned on in the notifications sections of your User Settings.

I tried it for Stoner's Lounge for about a week early on here. Sends notifications anytime the thread is updated, all posts and comments.

                    well that sounds awful.

your theory seems to be maybe partially right? neon is subscribed to the stoners lounge, so that's probably why he got subscribed to this. but bagel has no subscriptions right now. so unless she just got rid of them all, i don't know why it would be happening to her.

I can't think of an example of when I've done this but yes I have done it. No glasses, but just holding something in my hand while searching.

A weird one.. My partner's house is a work in progress and we use lamps rather than proper ceiling lamps. Half of the wiring and switches are in place but none of it works. Twice, when entering the bedroom, I have automatically flipped the wall switch, even though it has never worked.

Once when I was a kid my mother was taking me somewhere, and we packed the car then realised it wasn't our car. Someone had parked a similar car right by ours, and our car's key actually worked for it.

Just after the stroke, I had trouble misplacing everything. And never could seem to find it.

took maybe 1 1/2 to 2 years to get past that hurdle.
