Have you ever been a vegetarian? Hitler got me to consider it.

Adolf Hitler's views on eating meat and the ways he would lament animal treatment at slaughter houses actually moved me.

Nothing else the man had to say means anything to me because he forever ruined Fascism and by doing so he ruined the best gift from Heaven to humanity.

Plus he and his men did WAY too much meth. A little helps improve energy and concentration and is relatively harmless. That doesn't mean you abuse the fuck out of it till poor sleep hygiene and manic episodes makes you psychotic!Click image for larger version Name:	519019166.jpg Views:	2 Size:	367.6 KB ID:	30366

But Hitler actually was going to use his scorched earth policies as a remodeling procedure where he destroys to rebuild something better and one of his plans was to end animal cruelty and the Nazi party was going to enforce policies to protect the environment which is where the term "Green Nazi" comes from to describe environmentalists.

Adolf Hitler would be very concerned about stopping pollution and anything that might cause global warming. Nazi Germany was arguably the most clean place on earth during some of Hitler's reign.

Anyhow, Hitler was an idiot, he caused a huge chunk of the European population to die or wind up disabled, but like any suicide and angry person, he needs our love, so I love you Adolf, rest in peace! Click image for larger version Name:	5LnsXrD.jpg Views:	3 Size:	74.8 KB ID:	30365

One good quality Hitler had was a tenderness for animals. He grew up rejected by humans and unloved by both parents, abused by his Father, but loved by animals. In animals he saw a purity he didn't see in humans, a sacredness, an innocence.

One thing he was going to institute in the third Reich after that war was animal cruelty laws, because Hitler believed it was bad karma to harm innocent animals and condemn them to torture for life at a slaughter house.

He also believed that the anger and hatred the animal was feeling prior to being slaughtered was contained in the meat as negative energy, and that when your digestive system converts the meat into energy and stores it, it negatively effects you.

This conviction motivated Adolf Hitler to be a vegetarian.
Well, the Führer almost got me to give up meat as well, but the way I see it, I'm not really saving an animals life if I abstain from meat. The animal suffered and died, so if I don't eat it, it just goes to waste, wasted suffering.

    i'm a vegetarian.
you can't save an animal that has already suffered and died, no.
but if enough people stop eating meat, demand drops
The point is you save future animals from suffering.

But I definitely believe eating meat or not has to be a personal conviction. It's not something to try and convince others about.

The whole discord between the horrific things that happened in concentration camps and his dislike of animal suffering is fascinating. I don't actually know anything about how often he was exposed to it. I read an account of women on their way to gas chambers having their babies taken, smashed against a wall, and given back to them. Did he ever witness anything like that? If he did, I don't understand. I'd love to have a conversation with him about it.

I am not a vegetarian. I am also not a huge meat eater. My uncle es hunt for food for their families and don’t take more than necessary. Poachers is the problem, not hunters who are licensed and don’t take more than permitted. A little chicken and sometimes I just crave it because I don’t eat a lot of it. I don’t eat endangered species. I love animals but know I am a part of the food chain. . I won’t eat a Racoon, skunk, rats, bats, bears, fish, I don’t eat fish., etc........although my uncles swear by bear meat. Things they have seen though that anger them... bears killed and all that is gone is the pancreas. Just for starters. Makes then angry too. Anyhow, I am not but respect that you are. Ver disciplined. . I just have to have that burger sometimes. One time an uncle saw a guy grab a Canadian goose and break its neck. Chased the guy down and he was arrested.

Probably not. I'm sure it was an out of site out of mind deal. But there is a little bit of fucked up psychology with the gas chambers because the gas chambers only ever came into being because Himmler noticed that his troops were suffering highly from having to line prisoners up and shoot them. There was also an incident where Himmler was present at an execution and bit of blood and brains splattered on him. He took into account the detrimental toll it was having on his troops mentally.

The first gassings actually took place in the back of a wagon, at least at Auschwitz. They decked the wagon like a fun transport for prisoners with loud music as a morale booster. But carbon monoxide came from the truck and poisoned the people inside. The music was to deafen the prisoners.

I don't think it took long for the prisoners to work out what was going on there so the gas chambers came into motion. A motorbike idling was used to soften the noise from the prisoners inside.

So yeah you've got this ability to just be inhumane but on the flip side they're actions are somewhat considerate to both the troops and other prisoners, though I'm sure the prisoners had worked out what was going on, the motorbike was not used for very long. Auschwitz also had a running brothel for prisoners to use to boost morale.

I'm sure the stats and figures were given to Hitler, but I'm not quite certain he ever visited one concentration camp to be honest. He did make the brief appearance in Poland, but I'm pretty certain he stayed at Ravensburg or in Berlin and probably some other scenic locations, he seemed to admire the beauty of the mountains.

Hitler also hated Berlin, so it's always peculiar as to why he spent so much time there. I guess that's the capital, that's where the politics are. Surprised he didn't just squash it all in Berlin when they lit das Stag up in flames and move back down to Munich but he got trapped up in Berlin. Im sure if Musso had actually been of some help to the guy they would have retreated at least into the Bavarian or Italian Alps, that would have lasted a while and he would have probably blown his brains out where he always felt peace, in our mountains, not in a bunker in Berlin. I bet he hated that.

Ah, thank you. I imagined that was possibly the case but I wasn't sure. It definitely doesn't relieve him of guilt for what happened... But I do wonder what he would have felt if he had had to see it.

It seems not uncommon for misantropes or persons that are nihilistic about other human lifes, or over idealistic people that see the goal justifies the means, to be good to animals, but not to humans. Especially of course humans that do not meet such a persons ideals.

Btw: Hitler was totally clueless about some aspects of his war. Certainly after 43. He didn't go to the camps or the front and was surrounded by people who said what he wanted.
He knew what atrocities were happening in concentration camps (they were partly ordered by him) but likely only in theory.
I doubt witnessing them would have changed his mind, but who knows: witnessing such things does something with most humans (plenty of camp personel revelled in it though. Schindlers list depicts it good imo). It's always easier to simply tell others to do the most atrocious stuff from your ivory tower.

I eat meat. I dated a vegan for a few months once, I still ate meat but I also ate her vegan cooking a handful of times. I learned that I would definitely not choose to eat that way on my own.

He witnessed none of the atrocities, no. According to what I read he never visited a camp.

That's cool that you are a vegetarian.

I'm a convinced omnivore who limit his meat consumption, but I could easily eat vegan a few times a week (depending slightly on the details naturally): as long as she cooks the meal :P
By myself i never cook vegan, I only leave the meat out at best

I cook up a pretty mean vege bake. Trick is to add sauce you would associate with meat and honestly, you'd think you were eating a lesagne of sorts.

One of my pool mates is dating a vegan and she can't be around him if he's cooking meat. I wouldn't have time for that, going both ways. If what your partner eats has that much effect on you, probably should call it quits I think.

Nah it's all in the sauce and the texture of how you cook the veges. For instance if you're used to eating lamb with onion, pumpkin, carrots and gravy then that's what it tastes like but just without the meat. I've never picked through it and thought damn I need some meat in here.

I don't think I can physically feel meat in my mouth when I'm chewing up onion, carrot, pumpkin and lamb so that doesn't play much of a factor when you're eating just the vege bake so your taste buds take over and you just associate it with something yummy you'd normally bake anyway.

I don't know how the world works. They say if we didn't eat cows there would be cows everywhere.

I'm just not that much of a fan of meat. Could care less if my burger is a veggie burger.

But the real thing is that I feel for these creatures we eat. I absolutely can't bear the idea of them feeling degraded. Feeling fearful. Etc.

If there's some way to stop eating meat and to maintain the order of 3D world, I'm all for it. I don't know, from what I'm told, that there is, though.
