Today was day 1 of the new schedule at work. I always nap in my car during lunch and I ended up oversleeping. I've done this before and someone usually comes out to wake me up, but not today...bastards.

We are going to a half-day on Fridays, so M-Th we're working an extra hour to make up for it. They changed our lunch breaks too, from an hour to 45 minutes...which sux.

oh hell, that sounds like an awesome schedule to me. the transition is probably rough, but in the end i would love to have a schedule like that.

of course, it also makes a difference if lunch breaks are paid or not? i'd rather work 8 hours and shove some food in my mouth while i work, than work 9 hours and sit around for 45 minutes waiting for my lunch break to end.

personally i'm salary, so i get lunch and try to take a break, and during that time 4324 people come into my office and bother me about shit that either is someone else's job, or could wait until i'm done eating.

I like it but they could have done better. We are getting off at 12:00 on Fridays. If we had worked just an extra 15 minutes per day throughout the week we could clock out at 11:00, which makes more sense in my opinion.

I am NOT salary and if they ever try to do that to me I'd quit. I been there, done that.

And I just realised if I look at my own recent posts, the threads with new post are in bold. That helps. Still prefer a recent posts page though

It's almost midday and I'm still in bed. The wind is creating a marvelous atmosphere to stay in bed in. I'm going to have a smoke and read a book.

                            what book are you reading?
I ordered Jitterbug Perfume at your suggestion. I read the first page and was hooked so its next on my list of books to read after I finish Frodo's epic hero quest

oh, cool! I am reading another Palahniuk book, Survivor.
i actually am out of bed and dressed now. it has not ruined the vibe. the wind makes the whole house feel like a bed.

...sorry, sorry. i cannot help myself. you are *envious
jealousy revolves around fear of losing something
envious is wanting something others have
