    Daft Punk Calls it Quits

Daft Punk broke up. Of the popular mid-late 90's Electronic Dance Music acts, they were not my favorite but I did like their music and they seemed the most universally beloved for EDM. I never got to see them live but I got to see DJ Dan and Donald Glaude do a mix of "Around the World" at EDC. After the first Rave I did Ecstasy at, I recall hanging out in the parking lot with a few people I had just met blasting "One More Time". The album Random Access Memories was in steady rotation among coworkers at a job. I wasn't particularly a fan of their more disco oriented work, I preferred the house stuff but regardless I would have liked to have seen them live. It'll be interesting to see if these EDM acts do reunion tours like Rock Bands.

    Top 10 Daft Punk Songs:
    1. One More Time
    2. Around the World
    3. Robot Rock
    4. Human After All
    5. Da Funk
    6. Aerodynamic
    7. Something About us
    8. Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger
    9. Lose Yourself to Dance
    10. Revolution 909

That's a bummer. Daft Punk was amazing.
I think their Tron movie soundtrack was one of their best albums. They're best known for Around The World, but I never really liked that song.

Listening to Random Access Memories got me through working 12 hour graveyard shifts when things were slow and boring.

      I didn't really care

Curiously, my favourite album of theirs was the one with Robot Rock on it, which they spent only 6 hours, or 6 days recording or something like that. Whereas they spent much more time and money on other albums that weren't quite as catchy

They quit in this form. I doubt they won't return with another musical project

Sometimes it only takes one ugly christmas hit. Some people have all the luck! (alright, you still have to make sure the rights go to you and not your manager or record lable) :P
