      My grandfather considered Elvis to be the pivotal point where the decline of American youth began. And yet, nobody seems to say much about Jerry Lee Lewis marrying a teenager.

          Of course. You are both entitled to your own opinion. I would expect nothing less. Music as we know it today went thru three phases namely ... Elvis, The Beatles and Michael Jackson. Nothing I have heard since has come even close to these maestros of rock and pop.

                      Did Elvis even write most of his own music? I just checked Hound Dog, Jailhouse Rock, All Shook Up, A little less Conversation and he didn't write a single one of those songs. Plus he stole his dance moves from a kid in Alabama wearing leg braces.
