Some may recall that I did a lot of movie reviews on Hip Forums. And, I kept them in Word Documents and now make jpg screen shots for easy posting.

Today, I came across a thread where some newbie attacked an old man posting his pic in "The Body Shot Thread."

All my neighbors in the thread made short work of the troll. The thread got deleted by a mod, but nothing is ever deleted completely on the WWW.

2010 was the year I joined hip. And I too remember the body shot thread. Good times.

I felt the website layout for Hip looked very 1990s back in 2010.

Was VG in his 30s then? I thought he was 10 years older than he apparently is.

I remember vigilanteherbalist being a huge bitch. I don't remember why now, but I remember getting annoyed whenever she posted because so many of her posts were just pointlessly mean.

Vanilla Gorilla i never said you lied about your age, i'm pretty sure this is the first i've ever seen you give your age at all. i don't know why, but i just imagined you as being in your 40s back when we first "met". which, if you're 49 now, was probably only a few years off.

i still don't know where the piaf thing is coming from either, i remember when she joined hf around 2006/2007 she was 18, so that would put her at early 30s now.

OP1 i suppose i don't know for a fact. i saw pictures of her throughout her 20s and the age seemed legit, but of course there's nothing to say 100% that the pics were actually her. my question with VG's assertion is more that he says she was the same age for a long time, whereas the entire time i knew her the age she claimed matched the age that she had always claimed after accounting for the passage of time.

I joined late 2009. From Shale's screenshots, I spoke most frequently with PB Smith, as he was a prominent poster in the Psychedelic Forums. He invited me up to his place one year and offered me a Mescaline Cactus but I didn't go.

He didn't even make it until the implosion of the Psychedelic Section. He had some personal stuff going on and started coming around less frequently and I never kept in touch outside of HF.

Who was the stoners lounge guy--really nice dude, but had some serious drug use issues. He had like sandy blonde hair and blue eyes, if I recall. He was young-ish and from the south somewhere. I can picture his face but not his username...

oh, and it was definitely better before 2009. it was more like a constant piranha pit, sure, but i was young and enjoyed that stuff more then. and more importantly, it was so much busier. i remember literally sitting at my computer doing nothing but posting in random thoughts all day, and just not being able to keep up with all the new posts that were coming in.
